What is Genius Camp?
Genius Camp is a camp designed with professional development in mind. Teachers typically get professional development with a group of their peers or online without students around them. This camp is an opportunity for BOTH teachers and students to learn about the design thinking process together. Teams consist of 2 teachers and 3-4 students from the same school or district. Students should be entering grades 3-8. |

Why do you need it?
You, along side your students, will design a mock cruise line including activities for both on board the ship and excursions, food, advertising and more. This is a unique opportunity for teachers to learn about the design thinking process with a small group of your own students! Come excited and ready to learn about how to implement maker learning in your classroom! |
What are we going to see and do?
During this week long camp, students and teachers are going to be going through the design process from start to finish! This year we are going to have teams designing their own cruise line! Teams will be asked to think about things from entertainment on the ship, food that can be provided, how to market their cruise lines and more! |
